By June 25, 2019 September 25th, 2020 No Comments
Flooding and erosion, in its many forms, has devastating consequences. Across England, flood events in recent years have destroyed people’s homes, caused mental and physical ill health, damaged businesses, and even claimed lives.
As a nation, we need to act to reduce the risk of flooding, prepare for flood events and increase our capacity to recover from them.

Working with communities and partners, the Environment Agency has developed a Draft National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy for England, which sets out a vision for a nation ready for, and resilient to, flooding and coastal change – today, tomorrow and to the year 2100.The Environment Agency want your views on the strategy, and the consultation period is open until 4th July 2019.  We are all affected by the issues of flooding and watercourses management , so have your say! You can read the documents and respond to the consultation questions here.
