A new website, ‘The Flood Hub’ (https://thefloodhub.co.uk/) was launched in November 2018 to help homeowners, businesses, communities and landowners manage their flood risk and become more flood resilient.
The website contains a wealth of information specific to the north-west area, including how to check flood risk before you buy a house; guidance on creating a community emergency plan; how to report floods and check flood warnings and; advice for landowners on managing flood risk.
The Flood Hub has been funded by the North West Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC) and is a joint initiative developed by Newground, the Environment Agency, United Utilities, and the Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire Strategic Flood Partnerships.
